7 reasons to plan a family vacation to The Diplomat Beach Resort in Florida

Need to get away? Head to South Florida to checkout The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida. Here are eight reason why you should plan a trip to the Diplomat Beach Resort with your family.

1. Beachfront Location

As a parent, the worst thing about a beach day (in my opinion) is driving to the beach, parking and then hauling all your stuff. At The Diplomat Beach Resort, the beach with kids is simple! The property is located beachfront with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. In a few steps, be running on the soft sand and into the calm waters. The resort does offer loungers, umbrellas and daybeds (for a fee) and also has beach toys set-up for little ones. The resort also offers one hour of complimentary kayak use daily per guest and also rents jet skis.

2. Pools for the whole family

"Dip

Boasting multiple pools, The Diplomat Beach Resort has an infinity edge pool with a see-through bottom to yet another lagoon-style pool below. Additionally, they offer a dedicated kid’s area called Dip + Slide with a splash pad setup including a small waterslide.

3. Dining options for all

Have a picky eater? Don’t fret with multiple dining options inside The Diplomat Beach Resort. We started our days with breakfast and drinks from both Counter Point (featuring pastries made that morning from the in-house pastry chef) and Point Royal for a sit-down meal. For snacks and lunch/dinner, check out Playa which is a beachfront Nuevo-Latina restaurant. With delicious entrees like tacos and wraps for adults and kid-sized burgers and more, you can fuel up while taking in the beautiful views.

4. Every room has a view

"Views

At so many hotels, there is the side with the views and then the rest of the rooms are basically looking at the parking lot. Not here! Whether you opt for oceanfront views or the opposite side looking out at the Intercoastal Waterway, you have incredible views spanning from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. Some rooms do have balconies but there is a special latch higher up to secure it.

5. Kids Club (currently closed)

The hotel does have a kids club on-site with the ability for parents to leave children ages 4-12 in a fun spot while they can enjoy dining, the spa or just some quiet time at the pool or beach. There is currently no estimated time for the club to reopen so be sure to stay tuned for more information.

6. Easy Access to two National Parks

For those wanting a day away from the resort life, there are two National Parks within about an 1-1.5 hour drive. Biscayne National Park offers a unique experience as the park is 95% underwater. Book an excursion with the Biscayne National Park Institute to explore the park by boat or by a guided snorkeling trip. The Everglades National Park is also fairly easy to access from The Diplomat Beach Resort. You can do an airboat tour from one of three authorized vendors or explore on foot via one of the park’s three entrances.

7. The Diplomat Beach Resort is part of Hilton

Have Hilton points to use? The Diplomat Beach Resort is part of The Curio Collection, which is part of the Hilton family. You can check the box “use points” when searching for rooms to potentially use your points for your stay.
