South Bay

Spina Farms, 225 Laguna Avenue, Morgan Hill (new location for 2022!)

September 26-October 31, 2022

This South Bay classic will be in a new spot for 2022 – with pumpkins of all sizes plus fun activities like a corn maze, pumpkin blasters & train ride, it is fun for the whole family. 

Tip: Parking is free Monday-Thursday, $10 on Friday, Saturday & Sunday

FALL FESTIVAL AT MARTIAL COTTLE PARK, 5283 snell avenue, san jose

Saturday, October 1, 2022, 9am-2pm

Celebrate the Santa Clara Valley’s agricultural history with this fun fall event featuring local arts, crafts and foods, kids activities, agricultural workshops, animal presentations, historical autos, antique farm equipment, live music, food trucks, exhibitors, entertainment, pumpkin patch.

Tip: Parking is $6 (and limited). No admission for event.

This pumpkin patch is located just off Highway 85 in South San Jose and features a number of inflatable slides and bounce houses in addition to pumpkins.

Tip: Free parking and admission. Purchase wristbands for activities.

Filoli Orchard Days, 86 Cañada Rd, Woodside, CA 94062

September 24-October 30, Saturdays and Sundays plus Monday, October 10

Access the Gentlemen’s Orchard to celebrate and learn about the harvest season. It will feature food, music and more!

Tip: Be sure to allot time to visit the house and gardens during your visit to Filoli!

Lemos Farms Pumpkin Patch, 12320 San Mateo Rd, Half Moon Bay

September 3-November 20 (Wednesday – Sunday in September, everyday in October, and weekends only in November.)

During September and October, Lemos Farms turn into Halloween Palooza covered in hay, spooky decor, corn stalk, and pumpkins with all of their attractions open. Enjoy a scoop of pumpkin ice cream while riding the ghost train, dig into a piece of pumpkin pie on top of a hay bale on the hayride, or snack on some award winning pumpkin bread while walking the farm.

Tip: Tickets at the door are limited so buy them in advance! Visit in September and save 10% with code ‘LESSCROWDS’

Arata’s Pumpkin Farm, 185 Verde Rd. Half Moon Bay

Open 7 days a week. July-September hours 9am-6:30pm. October hours Sunday-Thursday 9am-6:30pm and Friday-Saturday 9am-10:30pm

Arata’s Pumpkin Farm has two-acre labyrinth hay maze plus a six acre corn field and pumpkin river. There is also a playground, a mini hay maze, train guide, petting zoo and guided pony rides.

Tip: All attractions are open October 1st. Free Parking Monday-Thursday!

Andreotti Family Farms Pumpkin Patch, 800 Cabrillo Highway North, Half Moon Bay

Open daily from 10am-5pm

Visit now to see this farm’s amazing sunflower display and then come back when they will be selling the pumpkins they have been growing.

49th Annual Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off, IDES Grounds, 735 Main Street, Half Moon Bay

Monday, October 10

Pumpkin growers come from all over to compete in this world famous event to find out who grew the heaviest pumpkin. Last year’s winner was a whopping 2,191 pounds!

Tip: This is a free event!

50th Annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival, IDES Grounds, 735 Main Street, Half Moon Bay

October 15-16, 2022 (9am-5pm)

Just the festivities as this festival celebrates its 50th anniversary. The weekend will be full of fun events like the Great Pumpkin Parade, harvest-inspired crafts and lots of delicious food.

Joan’s Farm and Pumpkin Patch, 4351 Mines Rd, Livermore

Oct 1 – 30, 2022 10 am to 6 pm Closed to the public most Mondays. 

Pick your favorite pumpkin. Feed the farm animals and ride the little blue train. Treat yourself to a shaved ice or pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Explore our fort maze, western town, and other play areas. Free admission. Parking by donation.

Smith Family Farm Pumpkin Harvest, 4350 Sellers Ave, Brentwood

Sept 24 – November 17 9am-5pm

The Pumpkin Harvest is much more than just a pumpkin patch. Included in the admission fee are live music performances, encounters with farm animals, an observation beehive, an herb garden and recreation area, a pumpkin house family photo area, a replica Native American village, and a natural atmosphere you can only find on a real, working farm. Also has u-pick fields!

Tip: Fun events over the weekend. General admission includes a pumpkin of any size. Bring cash or a check!

Three Nunns Farm Fall Harvest Festival, 550 Walnut Blvd, Brentwood

September 17th-October 31st daily 9am-6pm

The 40+ pumpkin varieties are all grown on site and you can even pick your own! Enjoy a corn maze and corn trail (less challenging for little ones). The Fall Harvest Festival is based around agriculture and fun on the farm.

Tip: Wear closed toed shoes! Admission includes tractor ride. Kids under 2 are free. Parking is free.

Family Fall Fest ‘22, City Park 150 Military West Benicia

Sunday October 9, 2022 (10am-5pm)

Family Fall Fest ’22 is an annual event to celebrate Benicia’s community of artists, entertainers, artisans and more! New this year includes a pop-up pumpkin patch, scarecrow scavenger hunt in the park.

Tip: Register for the costume contest for a chance to win gift cards to local businesses!

Meet under the redwoods and celebrate art and community. Featuring 135 local and international exhibiting artists, live music and children’s activities.

If you find yourself in Sebastopol for apple picking, be sure to book a tasting at Horse & Plow nearby. They have an expansive tasting menu and sell food (including a kid’s charcuterie plate that comes with a bag of food to feed the resident chickens).
